Hello all. Found this 1962 with what I think is PMD on the obverse. It appears to be part of the surface clad tore off near the date to the rim with a portion of the clad wrapped over the top portion of of the 6 on the date. Take a look and let me know your thoughts. Regards all.

I see a nice lamination. Lincoln cents have a copper cladding over a zinc core from 1982 and on. Cents prior to 1892 are not clad coins

Dearborn. Cents are electroplated not clad. Two different processes.

Are they? huh, now my turn to learn something.. I too stand corrected... I have seen on the boards here referring to the cladding on a cent many times. Time for me to get in some more research.
Thanks

I will assume that you are talking about the planchet, as electroplating would be either dipped in a solution with current applied or flashed in a vacuum.

Nice lamination error. Definitely not PMD. These are rarer on memorial cents than they are on wheats since the mint became more exacting about metallurgical standards as time went on. Lams on 1970-1982 copper cents are even rarer than these 60s memorial cents, and I have only seen a few examples posted here.
