I found this in a fast food drive thru. I checked it several times with my loupe and weighed it several times. It weighs 3.1 and to me it looks like a 1983 Denver. I would appreciate some feedback and I apologize for the shoddy photos all I have is my iPhone camera

Given the damage in the area of the date, I'm going to guess it's a 1982-D with some hard hits that have moved/distorted metal, including the "2".

Even if it's an '83-D, it's clearly not a small date.

There are no small dates that year. They were all the same size. (Except if the die were over polished, then that would be an altered die and would have no premium)

if it weighs 3.11g there is no way it could be a 1983-anything By then they were all zinc (or were they?)

I'll vote for a 1982-D large date copper
