I can't tell from that picture. Can you get a closeup of the steps without shadow?

@shan, yes that new pic is really helpful. I'm no expert in what constitutes full steps, but as I look at your pic, the left third seems to have no separation between the second and third steps from the bottom.

Spence says it well. Not FS IMO. Granted, a lot of what the TPGs call FS aren't full steps so who knows what they'd call call it. Not enough separation in steps 3 and 4. Here's a good breakdown of the steps. (Not my image).

Your coin is close, might be 5 FS. In hand, one can pivot it to catch light reflecting off the steps and better sense whether there is separation between the steps. Even four steps are more than found on most nickels of that date. Steps are merely a proxy for strike quality, and your coin exhibits an above average strike for Philly that year.

Not something that I would buy as fs though a TPG might put it as fs.

To me the OP's coin does not exhibit FS.

Not FS in my opinion. Several steps converge in one place or another.

From the picture it looks like step 3 and 4 do merge on the left side at times. That is still a nice coin though!

I believe it has a shot at FS but I'm not good at this. ...A good shot.

Not FS in my view. You cannot count 5 uninterrupted lines all the way across. Nice strike for the year though.
