Question About Marks On Bills? - Coin Community Forum

Three of these are the same but different denominations from different places. I`m fairly sure they are post mint but they are inked somehow.The first 3 are the most curious as ive had others like them and spent them. It is not ballpoint or sharpie or anything drawn. I figured maybe ya`ll have seen these marks before. Then there`s a couple more with other ink marks also. Your expertise is greatly appreciated. Thank you Report this Post to the Staff

Especially the first 3-4 bills. It's a curiosity thing. The fourth is intriguing also. The last maybe something else though not sure. Thx though. Report this Post to the Staff

Also remember there are a lot of places that have their own stamps. This could be from some business used to bundling 1s and missing the strap they put on them (I used stamp strapped bills many moons ago with my Grandfather's business many moons ago). It is impossible to know exactly what stamp it was, where it was done, and for what reason. Sometimes people also find things like butterflies, frogs, beetles, anything stamped onto bills. I'm guessing the Post Mint comment is influenced by collectors of the round, shiny discs, but the correct vernacular over here is Post BEP.
