could this be a mint mark miss strike? you can see parts of S stamp looks like top and bottom of S and a slide area between S and the miss strike, (arrows point to miss strike and slide area)

It should show a push out on the reverse if it is damage.

Post strike damage--a hit taken in circulation, moved metal--perhaps from right-to-left as viewed. May not be enough to show as a bump on the reverse.

I agree, your cent has a gash in it, it has taken a blow that has displaced some of the metal. Not a mintmark mistake or mis-strike, just post mint damage. No premium, in fact, any value it had went down with this hit. Sorry.
