The difference? The devices move in a certain direction on
DDD. It is always towards the rim direction. That is what you are seeing. On hub doubling it is possibly in a different direction, but the spread is on the centers of the devices. Not on the outside edges of the one direction that the
DDD moves towards.









Keep in mind that the hub directions were on the older multi squeeze dies. On the new single dies, they are more of a class 9 hub doubling in a different direction. They are located on the central areas. They way to tell if they are a single squeeze die, it to look at the device height. If they are lower (the multi hub process had a higher profile) and they will show die wear as I mentioned earlier, towards the rim direction, not on the devices, but the
DDD is on the fields. That is how you can tell the differences between the two different die creations. The devices are directly affected as the die ages moving either devices, or the on the fields on the single squeeze dies.
