I have a 1975 d mint mark penny that's missing the U in United and the date and mint mark look off. I was wondering if this was unique and worth anything.

Looks like a partially grease-filled die issue on the "U" in United, but we'll need an obverse pic to help with your other question.

A partial Grease Filled Die, not uncommon.
Will have to see the obverse to comment on the date and mm.

I agree, a partial grease-filled die, and as others, will reserve comment on the described mintmark until we can see it. It is always good practice to give us whole photos of both sides of your coin anyway.

Probably a grease strike through or Die Deterioration.
Only valuable to those that collect
this particular variety.
Try to sale it and see if it generates
an interest.
Check ebay sold section for pricing.

Probably a drop/glob of grease fell on that area.
