I thought rpm were not possible SINCE 1991.
CLEARLY, the mint MARK was the only thing REPUNCHED. Even the oxidation from everything else around the mint MARK is not the same.
If it was a DOUBLE die the whole coin would LOOK the same. So its either a RPM or an omn.
What do you think?.

It looks to be MD. MD does not always share, like doubled dies. It can be isolated, only affecting one particular thing on the whole coin. Looks to be some decent deterioration going on the coin too.

It is not an RPM or OMM though.

I can't really tell on the mintmark other than to note that I believe it is physically impossible to be a RPM or OMM on a 2004-dated US coin. On the other hand, is there a small die crack on the rev going through the E in DIME? It is hard to tell, but it doesn't appear to be a scratch in this pic.

Well after 1989, (the last year for RPMs) If you find real hub doubling on a mintmark, it is called a DDO. This has only happened a few times:

But most of the rim it is DDD or Machine Doubling. How to tell the difference. Not the other devices on that area. If they are showing hub doubling, then it is a doubled die on the post 1989 coins.
