I am with Spence, I'm not seeing anything either. What do you see, thickness, notching? Can you give us closeups of the areas in question?

I can see what you are talking about on the right coin but I think it's just the lighting and mayb MD but there was no RPMs after I believe 1985 when the mint started engraving the MM into the dies. I could be wrong on the last year of them but it can't be an RPM.

In general for smaller errors you will need closer shots of the area in question.

Lol! I'm not seeing Elvis in the Statute of Liberty! I collect stamps, also. Have some old Elvis stamps along with a ton of others. Haven't even started researching them yet! They were given to my brother when his ex wife's uncle passed. His mother started collecting them when he was born! Some real old ones, never used and the whole books and sheets still intact!

When a die is polished, the outer edge of the dies are the fields. So when a die is polished, the fields suffer first. The devices are tapered at the tops to release the coins from the dies after the strike. So the widest ares on the devices are removed, making the devices shorter. Some sub designs are also thinned on the last images the earlobes are different sizes. The devices are smaller and shorter. And the bust size was also reduced. Why was the one die polished that much? Because from the eye area, it appears that there was Feeder Finger Damage on the die. Thus a deeper polishing took polishing took place. So one dies coin was a fresher die. Thus the devices are different sizes. All the coins from that point on will all look like your coin. So it is not a single coin, but several thousands of coins would be affected, until the die is retired. So it is a common die event.
