I found a few more 1937 P DDR's but figured everyone is tried of those. So here is the one 1938 P DDR I found in this bag.

I think it is DDR-002 from Variety Vista

The side by side images have my coin on the left and Variety Vista's on the right. When I overlay them to set up the side by side images, they matched very well. Even matched the stair step pattern in the lower pointy bit of the "N".

Too bad a coin machine messed up the obverse devices.

Nice photos, and yes, to bad the obverse is messed up. I come across that often. One side always seems better than the other.

Nice find! These class 2/6, class 6, wheatie DDR's, have become somewhat like modern doubled columns and 1989 DD's for me, they each have there own can and I'll dive into the cans occasionally, to see if I can attribute, when finds are slow. I like finding them, the thicker the better but have grown to not like attributing them.
