Can't tell for sure what the last number is,but it is a 35% silver War Nickel.

The last number has been damaged, it is not an error.

Post strike damage with much wear. That nickel has been around the block, has done its duty.

It can only be a 2-5 digit. At this point it is damage, so silver melt will probably be the best way to put it to rest. Gone are the days of its previous beauty. Its entered the race and did not win.

Still worth its weight in silver melt, but not much else.

yeah still worth melt, a dollar or so $1.30- $1.35 each. keep looking they add up. Probably be worth around $50 sold for melt if you get to a 40 coin roll of them.

When all the melted coins are taken out of circulation. It will leave less of the nicer coins available. So if you have nice coins, keep them. But if they are junk coins, sell them. In time the price to the better ones will increase a bit in the future.
