What Might The Problem Be With This Coin? (1980 D Cent)

To get a better grip on what issues there may be, suggest soaking the coin in pure acetone--could eliminate some uncertainty. Report this Post to the Staff

Anything blocking out the design is something added to the coin that is not clear. (Solder/cardboard/nail polish, that is not clear, epoxy or other things attached to a coin) Pretty much a throw back into circulation coin, not worth the effort to deal with coin.
