Thinking about crossing to ANACS to get a number grade. Even though I'm sure it will still be "Damaged." On a problem free coin, there is a big difference between retail for 50 or 58. Even if the "D" word cuts it's value in half, half of $640 is a lot better than half of $500. But I'm not good at grading these. If most people think it's a 50, 53 not worth the hassle. 55 maybe. 58 definitely. Or am I crazy to be crossing a PCGS coin to ANACS to add value? Would love to get some additional opinions. THANKS! Bought it for $220 5 years ago. Thinking it had great eye appeal for a details coin. But the word "Damaged" is just so much more cringe worthy than "Cleaned". Report this Post to the Staff

I would not worry about the verbiage damaged on the holder. You have a quality details coin that will do well at time of resale. Do not waste your money on getting it in a ANACS details with grade number. If the coin can straight grade, then, it may be worth cracking out for regrading. Report this Post to the Staff
