coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/26/2021 6:41 pm It could be struck through debris? Or a lamination? But the shape doesn't look like a lamination to me. The laminations are often more in a straight line. Debris, squashes into the shape it is struck into. They can be thick or thin. But often not straight like lamination issues are. For sure John, it's one of the few nice looking wheat cents I have raw. Has a bit of redish/brown toning that the camera doesn't capture. Interesting Coop, thanks for letting me know. I'll make sure to keep that information in the future when I'm looking at other such coins. Perhaps I need to relabel this one. Spence, you've got a good eye! Again, thank you all!
