The face side edges are rounded and the reverse side seems to have been almost melted. But the image is barely legible. * Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. What you describe could not have happened during the striking of the coin. Also do not hold coins in your hand. Place coin on a flat surface to shoot. Hard to tell how exactly this damage occurred as it would only be a guess, but in the end, damage is just damage. Coins led a rough life once minted. Report this Post to the Staff
