3000th post! Anyway, thought it was fitting to post an "Unlisted" RPM, as I've made a lot of those posts before. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to figure this one out. Checked VV, couldn't find a match. Went through all 80+ on CopperCoins. Best match I found on there was 1958D-1MM-063 but even that has positioning issues. I wanted to check out Wexler's stuff on it, as I've known in the past that he had over 100 1958-D WRPM listings, but it seems that it's been temporarily removed (most likely under construction). Overall, while I did get close, I couldn't find a match to this RPM. Either the tilting was incorrect, the placement of the RPM was slightly off, or the overall RPM itself didn't have the certain characteristics. Oh, also it's worth mentioning that I did not find this. It was given to me from a friend. Thought I would post it anyway.

I actually found this same RPM I think, and couldn't find a listing for it either

what stands out to tell you this is a RPM? I can't see anything doubling.

SilverCents, I'm assuming you are referring to the area south of the base and south of the upper serif. In my opinion, it is not an RPM. It looks like a tired punch, a tired die and maybe even some isolated MD. Congrats on the

I do not feel yours is an RPM either, CoinHunter4 and has a different mm location from SilverCents' mm. Yours is more northeast.

CH4, very nice, and thank you! However, your MM is slightly tilted in a different direction. While it is barely noticeable, I believe we have two different coins.
Thanks John! Haha I certainly do. Perhaps in the near future I'll come up with something.
LOM, the pictures are spotty I'll admit to that. I've been banging my head over here stating that I need a new microscope, I'll try to get one in December. However, I can assure you it is a RPM, as the friend that gave it to me is, quite versed in CRHing and has far better equipment than I'll have in years most likely. But you could certainly be right on this one. I'll need to send it off later just to be sure.
MakeCents, thank you for your input. While I'll admit that this doesn't exactly look like a normal RPM, there is indeed split serifs that are difficult to point out with my photos. There is also a split serif on the southwest edge of CH4's coin as well.
GF it certainly could be, good guess. I'll hold onto it for now as I need to send it off to Wexler anyway.
The reason why I'm confident that it's an RPM is because it was given to me by TropicalBats. I'm afraid that my equipment cannot capture such in detail however.
Thank you all for your input!
EDIT: Also just wanted to add that this coin is quite difficult to work with cause there is a mark that's overlapping the southern side.
However you guys could certainly be right about it being something other than an RPM. These minor RPMs can always be tricky can't they?

Hello SilverCents i wanted to get back to you earlier but had to go place a wager on a horse. i have no doubt if you say it is a RPM, then it is a RPM. I always say coin in hand has final say (sometimes its hard to photograph and capture a variety) with the amount of ding marks and photo uploaded, I couldnt tell either way. side note: I think your camera is good enough. to show depth, maybe an angle shot would have been better... I dont know.. just jabbering now. EDIT: for me, only 515 more post till 3000 (wondering if this "EDIT" counts).

Hello levelsofmadnes, Don't worry about it, I hope that wager was successful! Indeed, I appreciate that comment. I come across RPMs fairly often, but I also make mistakes fairly often so... I can see why it didn't look like one. Even in hand, it was a tad difficult to determine, the dings certainly didn't help. Fair enough, it is a pretty decent microscope, it just has some lighting issues time to time. You're completely right, I should've provided a different shot, would've been more effective. Ha I'm looking forward to that milestone, good luck!
