Also, this appears to be a large date, given the shape of the 2 (in spite of the trailing end of the 2 having taken what looks like a circulation hit). Others will be along to comment. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/28/2021 11:49 am More of an example of extreme die wear. Note the devices are moving towards the edge of the device. Part of the reason to replace the worn swollen master hub during the year. Doing this created the a large and small date that year. Same was going on the the 1982 quarter, but they waited until the next year to change that out. Note the bust sizes and the devices locations. Even Machine Doubling made the rim to be altered.
