Picked up this quarter at a fair price. I like the 1925 for some reason and have been looking for a nice one. Thoughts?

This is a coin that makes me say WOW!! A very stunning coin! I think it is very choice at MS-64. The strike is a bit on the weaker side, and a few bigger dings on the reverse is what I notice. The obverse is very clean.

That's a good looking coin. I almost went to the Fresno show, are you going to Sac?

Beautiful example for sure. If there's no rub, than I'd say MS-64 as well.

The coin has great surfaces on both sides. The strike is good but not full. It does not appear to have a full head based on the obverse pictures. The strike is a little mushy above MacNeil's initial in the wall to the right of the gate. In the reverse, the feathers in the eagle's chest are flat and the feather detail there is not visible. Three hits under CA in AMERICA, a hit in the field under EPU and a little chatter in the left reverse field under the left wing and above the tail feathers. These nits are minor compared to the beautiful luster and overall pleasing brightness of the coin, but the coin fall a little short of gem and rates MS64 imho.
Rest in Peace

Think we are all on the same page! Luster and eye appeal of a 65 IMO but enough small contact marks to likely hold it to 64. Not full head but at least an average strike for the date.

FTW, I'll probably skip Sacramento. Spent my money at Fresno! It was a good show and we are planning for another next October and maybe another in April. Maybe we will see you there.
