Anyone have any thoughts on this steps error? They look like they are imprinted in several areas. The nickel looks a bit chewed up. Can this happen in the minting process? Thanks for your help. Posting code of pic as directed. I'm having issues with uploading pics.

You didn't copy the entire phrase and left out the brackets ( '[' and ']' )

All I see is something that looks like an abstract painting . I'm eager to say road kill but lets wait for full coin pics front and back .

Hopefully, these are better pics of nickel. I really think this is mint error when I look at the edging, date, and steps. But, I am just a beginner and need some of your expertise. Thanks for the help. Really.

It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin. There is nothing there that would happen at that time so it is just damage.

Yo Frankie , what makes you think it is a mint error ? Give the community credit when we say it was damaged after it left the Mint .

I will definitely defer to this community. I was asked for more pics. Damaged it is then. Thanks.

Take an undamaged nickel, place it on concrete, step on it then drag it with your foot across the concrete. Flip the coin over and repeat. The end result, known as road rash, will resemble your coin.
