I bet it got XF40 but I think it leans technically more to VF35

PCGS called it a VF(30). You guys hit the nail on the head. It seems that sometimes they are a little looser with early US coinage, but they were not loose with this one. Again, it's not my coin, but I am interested in learning more about how the TPG world works.
