I have a very worn 1916 Mercury dime. It is worn flat around the mint mark area.

I'm no specialist in these..

Is there a way to find the possible mint mark with it being worn as it is? It is a rotated to 11:45 die so I'm hopeful.

Like you said, pics would be great! From what I have seen, the mintmark on real ones is pretty tilted, so you have a chance.

Unlikely, because mintmarks on the 1916-Ds are visible to some degree, even on worn coins. This coin has no sign of a mintmark.

I see no traces of a D. At no traces where the mintmark usually is found. The D on 1916-D Mercs shows up well even on heavily worn coins.

Not sure if people would pay a premium anyway for a 1916-D where the D does not show.

I see something that sort of looks like a D, but it's in the wrong position to be genuine.
