1999 DDO Is It Worth Anything

I have a 1999 d penny that looks doubled on the 9 and in the word trust. Any opinions would be appreciated.

It is worth 1 cent. That is known as Die Deterioration Doubling, a
worthless type of doubling

Yep, many zinc-Lincolns post 1982 have this kind of Die Deterioration, and only a few known actual doubled dies, eg 1983-P DDR, 1984-P doubled ear, 1995-P DDO, plus a few more that you can find on websites like varietyvista.com so if it is not there or at another well-known error/variety site, then it most likely is not anything special. It still is very possible to find new varieties out there that are legit and are not on the known major coin websites yet, but rest assured, new varieties are very rare, so keep looking, you might still discover something cool!

PS, Lincolncentresourse com is another excellent site for all things Lincoln. It might be a good idea to use our search bar on this site to look up the differences between Machine Doubling verses actual doubling, in which there are major differences.

If you look up "doubling" at error-ref.com you will find the common types of worthless doubling as well as actual collectable doubling and how to tell them apart.
