Appears to be additional Die Strikes on the Bust of Obverse? The two additional Die Strikes below the edge of the Bust Garment are approximately the same Length, Depth and Distances apart and Horizontal of each other. Or possibly a Doubled Die? Lincolns hair texture also flattened but the plating is intact. I took various angles of the coin to show the actual required Strike and the two additional Strikes below. What caused this to happen? Any thoughts? Thanks.

@pe, it is quite odd that these two lower impressions all line up so perfectly with the top, but they sure look like damage to me.

Coin roll damage to a coin that was in the till, then a new roll of cents was dumped onto the coin. Note how the damage if spaced the same? That is from a batch of coins that were stacked fell on the area of the coin. Just damage to the coin. If it were punches as your mentioned from the strike, there where are the rest of the punches that would come from the die? Everything would be altered over the whole coin? That was not the case. Just damage on that area. When you look closer at those areas, you can see where the metal was pushed, creating a wave of metal to the south of each hit. The the metal was moved on that one area in circulation. (hope this helps)
