I have 2 US coins that I want to sell on ebay. How much should I put them up for to attract buyers and sell the coin instead of selling.

Your 1837 dime is a large date variety, and in G-4 retails around 50 US dollars, and the 1896-O dime in that grade retails 40 dollars, so it is up to you to put whichever start price you want. If these were my coins, I would start the 1837 dime at 5 dollars, and the 1896-O at 4 dollars and perhaps some bidders would push it over the actual retail values.

Do you think it's better to sell these coins through an ebay auction ?

I think an 7 day auction will make for a quick sale time and get a good price. Unless the coin is for a niche market, auctions usually come to a full retail price at the end.

Does H10 mean Half Dime? A more scarce type coin without stars.
Can't say for sure with one side shown.

You can always look up "Sold Items" on ebay and see what other coins like yours have sold for. That way you can get a feel for what they are actually worth.

I've already had a bad experience selling through an auction. This is random, your coin can be sold at a good market price or it can go for a penny.
