I posted this coin yesterday because it has a small lamination error or die crack on the obverse and I am reposting the coin but the focus on the reverse this time because I just got noticed a small line of metal connecting the bottom right side of the bell to the P in pluribus. And was curious what it is and what it's called and does it make this coin any more rare or not?

Well I'm going with die chip . A die crack doesn't leave a line of metal .

That is one heck of a FBL! (ok,,,, just kidding) I'm leaning towards the chip camp. But then again it could be a small crack. Can I agree with both?

The planchet chatter on those Bicentennial Ikes can be maddening.
