wrong planchet? maybe improperly annealed? Maybe both and then some? Without knowing what to label tjis gem, it's difficult to search. Thanks in advance.
heavily corroded. The nickel layer has completely worn off and the corrosion is now working on the copper. You can still see traces of the original nickel layer.
It is similar to an acid dipped coin, everything everything corrodes or etches away equally so no matter how much is etched away, there will always be some of the devices showing.
