I have never found an acid-dipped coin before. If this is simply an acid-dipped coin, is it normal for the devices to remain?
Sorry for such a simple question, I have only been at this a short while.
Thanks
Mike

Yup, it's normal. The acid eats at the surface at an even rate. Any design on the piece will be eaten down evenly, thus leaving remnants.

Looks like it is ready for the soda machine that you could use a Cent to buy a 10 cent soda with in the 1960's. Definitely cooked with acid.
