Hi
Can anyone help identify this coin
It's about 16/17 mm
Weight is about 1.65g
I believe the date is 1895
Possibly gold
A mint
And believe it's genuine
Opinions would be greatly appreciated

Judging from the specs you gave, I would have said it was a 1/4 werk. The only one I see on Numista that matches the physical description doesn't have a reverse that matches. This is the closest I could find. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces22979.html
It's certainly possible that Numista just doesn't have it listed. They are a great resource but even they don't have everything in their catalog. You might consider taking it to a coin or jeweler shop so they can test it to see if it is gold.

Hi yep I have seen this one on Numista thought it could also be the 1 Gersh. Have looked on heritage but most seem to be EE mints.

The Standard Catalog of World Gold Coins lists an example of the piece as:
Kingdom of Abyssinia
KM#16
1/4 Werk
EE1889(1897)
1.75g, .900 gold, $100+/-
There are some notes about minting, so maybe you could post better quality close-ups?

I'm not strong on dating this coin and the details aren't so clear.
But it could be Paris mint of EE 1903 (1911 AD) in one look.
Someone that can make out the numbers with better clarity will have the right answer.

yup, it's now had the black from the mount mark removed.
I kinda thought it wasn't gold when it was listed on ebay.
