First coin first reverse second coin second reverse I'm not sure either is close to 67. After you guys figure out which one then I will tell you the grade of the other coin.

I'll say second coin, but I wouldn't give either a 67, agree.

the reverse strike on coin 1 is not strong enough for a 67 let alone a 67+ it looks like a MS65 coin
the second one looks like a MS66 coin.
whatever the case the one grading 67+ is over graded.

I'd say the first is a 67 due to outstanding luster, and the second is a 66.

Quote: 'd say the first is a 67 due to outstanding luster, and the second is a 66. The first one is the ms-67+ from PCGS straight off the website. The second coin is yet to be graded, but I just sent it off. I cannot seem to master taking a picture of the luster, but I assure you it's as every bit as lustrous as the first one. I am hoping for a ms-67. I don't think the second coin is a full point lower than the first. Then again two wrongs don't make a right. If the first one is over graded, then the second one won't make it to 67, it will be 66 more than likely. I will find out in 45 to 55 days (working days that is)

Grading from pictures is tough for anyone and PCGS' "glamour shots" can work against a coin as well as for it. Yours will likely come back a 66 as you expect. Cool doubling you have there.

. Unless you have both coins in hand, there's no way to reliably compare the amount of luster. There's just too much variability in photographing the coins. But hope you get the 67!

Yours will likely come back a 66 as you expect. Cool doubling you have there. I didn't ship that coin off by the way. I thought it had to many problems. Please realize (and sent with the most gentle affect) (the verb) I might be using affect and effect backwards? Members have been awesome and just give me their opinions and I ask for them, but if some of you read all the posts it seems when a coin is technically very good then it probably doesn't have luster and when a coin has technical problems OH! it grades so high because of the luster. I will not submit a coin that doesn't have a great deal of visual appeal I hold up two coins and ask the only. people available to me. My wife (who doesn't care LOL) my two adult children and my 6 grandkids. My LCD doesn't want to be bothered and I also ask my in-laws when they come over. I give them no clue just which coin catches your eye. I then post here just to get outside opinions. I am open to more suggestions on how to choose. Members are expectedly cautious. And most under grade when I have posted slabbed stuff. I am sure they are experienced enough to know pictures are deceiving for and against a coin.
