Can you give me your thoughts on this 1957 D Penny? At first I thought it was a damaged parking lot Penny. I took a closer look at it looks more like art or foreign markings.

Front and back pics almost always. Looks like a parking lot coin to me. John1

That's what I thought too, the reverse is a jumbled up mess, however, I do see foreign looking art on obverse. I'll put the wine up after this last sip! Teehee. Reverse pic on its way. Weight is normal.

Here's the reverse. If you stare long enough. I'm about to open a bag of Cheetos to see what I can find!

@tell, your initial thought was correct. This coin is showing extensive mechanical damage, such as from spending time in a parking lot. You could consider it art if you want, but numismatically it is damage.

Given the photos posted, this '57 D has suffered rather heavy damage--most of it in a parking lot (as noted above). Art/foreign/alien details--Pareidolia is a curious thing.

Agree just damage, possibly deliberate.

Just a parking lot find. It is still a Wheat cent.

Definitely not seeing anything but damage. Don't stare at it to long, it will steal your soul!
