I received this 1921 S Morgan dollar as a gift and I was thinking of getting it graded and putting it up in my collection. Two questions, would it be worth the grade fee and what do you think about the reverse, above 'States'. I have other Morgans and I have not seen anything like this before.

Thanks in advance

Definitely not worth sending me in. Looks xf35 to me. You can buy one ebay for the cost incurred by grading.
The marks at the top and right on the reverse look like worn dies. Neat looking for sure but I don't think it is worth any extra.
Nice gift though. Very thoughtful.

with 1847bill, not worth sending in for grading unless you want to... If you are up to this, vamworld.com is a great place to see if you can pin down any particular VAM variety. Yeah, VF-35 looks about right to me also.

So what I forgot to mention is I have 2 more free grades this year (before Feb 10th) with PCGS as part of my membership. All I am out is the $19 for shipping and handling. Thinking about it, I think I will go ahead and get it slabbed. My Mother in Law got it for me so I want to keep it.

Now that is a great reason to get it slabbed there .
