Collector .... And I use the term loosely. I have been following this auction for a couple days from the CaC site. How can someone spend that money on a PHOTOGRAPH of a scarce coin? It's a first for me and a real laugher!

Half of the people are smarter than the other half. We, being on the smarter half, it is our cross to bear.

Or shill bidding. Which is more reasonable to expect...

1) there there are 3 crazy bidders out there in the world who really want this badly; or
2) this is some kind of shill/rigged/fake situation

I will bet on choice number 2.

Complete lack of reading comprehension... If bids are real the bidders most likely did not clearly read the offering and battle royal will ensure at the point of actual delivery!

To me, a collector needs to be a good reader or comprehend what's down in words. The other thing he needs is a good set of eyes, with all the help that he needs. These 2-3 jokers have neither of those requisites. At first I thought shill bidding, but then again, there are people nowadays that will believe ANYTHING that they see on the internet or see on the News. It hurts my head.

The world has gone insane. I just heard of people investing in virtual real estate, virtual sneakers, clothes, and other worthless ventures. Some may think that I am crazy for collecting coins but at least they are real and not some make believe fiat con game.

There is a return on purchase. But I bet seller will disappear as soon as he gets his payment.
