Still new to coin collecting and any information would be helpful. The back of the coin looks very different from all the other coins I found in circulation so far. EDM Valued Member United States 292 Posts	Posted 01/14/2022 09:13 am From the looks of the reverse I assumed it was a bronze cent, but the grey spots under the Lincoln bust look like zinc peeking through. DoggishLlama680 New Member United States 23 Posts	Posted 01/15/2022 12:31 am The weight is 2.96 grams And no it has not been painted it was extremely dirty when I found it I couldn't even see the front really so I cleaned it up with a toothbrush to see it better it was outside in a parking lot.
