1985 P 25c Clashed Dies - Coin Community Forum

The leaf stamped in Washingtons hair on obverse and the E in WE poking out on reverse are notable. Some rotation is evident as well as this is not a spitting eagle but maybe more of a drooling eagle :) "Pride is yoked with callous behavior, as humility is with compassion." coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/21/2022 10:41 am Looks like one of the dies rotated a bit to show the 'E' from the Motto on the obverse clash. First time I've seen several of these clashed devices on the quarter. On this die I figured out 8 degree rotation for this coin is pretty close. If not, slide it off, and rotate another image overlay a bit more/less. Sound complex, but easy if you know what you are trying to achieve. Report this Post to the Staff
