So found this quarter, and wasn't sure if this was machine error or possibly just worn out from use? Thank you! Apperciate any responses. Still very new to this, and love learning from all the awesome knowledge on here.

Sorry but its post mint damage. Nothing in the minting process would do this. It looks like some caustic chemical came in contact with it.
