It needs to be a copper cent to be a woody, this is a plated cent. It may have roller lines though but cannot tell from the pics.

More than likely, just corrosion under the plating. Common on the copper plated zinc cents.

The bubbly texture might be plating issues brought about by zinc dust. The photos posted are far too small to determine what might be going on.

Woody is excluded. Plating or environments are the possibilities to give you the impression of woody.

Just zinc dust under the copper from not being cleaned properly.
Quite common on the early year zincoins.
