Hello, my husband and I just started going through all our coins and found an a bicentennial quarter with what we think is an error. There seems to be a circle/die error around all of the letters of 'United States of America' and 'Quarter Dollar'.
Bicentennial-Quarter-Error

Hopefully it's visible as I had to really reduce image size.

Has anyone seen this before? We searched this site and others but didn't see this specific error.

Thank you :)

really hard to tell from that photo but I'm guessing its machienes roller damage, quite common and not an error. When machienes shotgun wraps rolls of coins the end coins usually get damaged leaving a circular wring on the coin. Try getting a better picture if you can

On these the line is scratch into the coin. Damage not a plus for the coin. It is now a cull coin. Just a face value coin.
