Then the rim by the T has a crack going to the T strike throw maybe, the edge of the rim looks to not be damaged . plus crack's in the S , on the head, and coat. E and ,B have die chips on the bottoms. big chunk missing in head ,could that been part of a lam.? Die clash on neck , first 5 has neet point on top tip ,die chips on 1,9 and in between 9 and 5.rev. top left wheat has die chip trail,U has chip N ?right wheat big chip and, the T. And I think by the A C T and, I T F maybe from clash ?thanks for any input.

yes, a tiny BIE, nice die crack on Lincoln. Looks like a hit on the T of 'trust' however. Other devices near the rim appears to be smeared towards the rim I'd say DDD for that.

I think it looks close .on the rev. my has the mark on the top of the E but looked like a hit , but does that one have the cracks on the S ? I have to look at the T in liberty , but the chips on the date they would of pointed out, so maybe new one or do they have stage's ?

Yep. Covered Crack in T is still in question. My guess would be damage.

Here are the two die stages listed in "The Classification and Value of Errors on the Lincoln Cent", Jean Cohen, 1969. The one listed on cuds-on-coins makes reference to Cohen 55-BA54, Yours might be a different die stage but it appears that this is the same OBV/REV die.

The wheat cents on the 1950's dies were way over used. Like you coin, the die was over used and all kinds of strange die events happened. Just the BIE is of interest to some. The rest are all die events. No varieties are see on your coin. Just extreme die wear.

There are two of the books currently for sale on ebay... one is $245 and the other is $400 (or best offer). Current value for BIEs seems to be all over the place but it seems the uncirculated examples do the best. I periodically check sold listings on ebay. Current sold listings are ranging from 99 cents to $40
