Been on the hunt for woodies. Found this guy I believe is one, but so curious about the crack going across the coin. Not sure if it's damage or something else! Thank you for any replies, I'm truly enjoying all the information I'm learning on here.

That "crack" is a lamination I

Very nice find and cool looking! You will find that a lot of the time lams are also woodies but woodies are not as often lams. They both are because of the same thing though, improper alloy mix. Read to the end.
