the date seems to close to rim and large, the word liberty and IN GOD WE TRUST also close to rim possible error would like feedback thanks

No that is the way the master dies were in 68. They made new ones in 69 to replace them. Compare it to a 69 the difference is like nite and day.

Cujohn is correct. What you are seeing is not a mint error. The master dies were in a sorry state by '68.

They all looked like that, that year, even the proofs. The master hub had been swelling for may years. A new hub was recreated the following year.

Note the sizes of the devices/locations of the devices and the bust sizes. That fixed the issue on the 1969 cents.

compare it to other 1968 cents, and you'll find they all look like that
