Hello, I found what appears to be possibly a proof strike 1974 Quarter. It is very shiny. The mintmark seems to be to overstruck or perhaps double struck. Wondering if anyone agrees. Thanks for taking a look.

. I checked the two sites I know of and neither list an RPM. Let's wait for more members to chime in.

Yes looks like a proof to me. Lightly circulated, so would be an impaired proof. I'm not so sure on the RPM though.

Just damage on the mintmark. The overall size is normal. If it were a RPM, it would be even larger. Also the damage is incuse. A RPM would be raised and show a second punching.

Yep, all 1968 and beyond San Francisco S minted quarters are all automatically proof; non were made for circulation .
