I am new to coins and I would like to discuss what my next move is with this coin. It's definitely rare, I haven't been able to find any other coins like this one. Thank you

Altered coin. Post strike damaged. Someone trying to create a "so called" mint error, but it is now an error and just damage to the coin.

So your saying it was an error and someone damaged it after original error?

It's not an error by any means, it has been intentionally damaged. I think coop meant to say it is NOT an error.
Also coins are not printed, they are struck or minted, bank notes are printed.

Yes, it's post strike damage--very likely deliberate. Not a mint error. We see similar coins (dramatically ground down) once or twice a week on this forum.

Right, was not an error, a coin cannot be minted flat like this, it was sanded down. If you weigh it, you will see that it will come in underweight.

Quote: It's definitely rare, I haven't been able to find any other coins like this one. Without wanting to pile on, both of those statements are true, but since this coin is just the result of unusual damage doesn't make it worth more than face value. Also, welcome to CCF!

It should weigh 5.7g, so it is very underweight.

Note the edge? It was acid dipped also. Altered coin. Abused the coin, then spent it. You found it. Put it back to work.
