1918 Penny Weight Issue?

I have a few 1918 pennies. most weight around 3.07g but I have one that is weighing in at 2.99. is this normal. Please let me know.

The 1918 penny in mint state is 3.11 and at MS 63 around 30$. At 2.99 gr must be well circulated.

Better you try to post photos of the coins for better analyze.

Normal weight is 3.11 grams,mint tolerance is +/- .13 grams and you also need to factor in circulation wear.

The low end with mint tolerance is 2.98g so even without wear taken into account
it is still within acceptable weight.

The early Lincoln Cents were not saved in rolls. The 1909s were because of the change over of the designs. (this often happens. Probably not so on the 2022 quarter through) So extreme wear can be seen on these cents. So if it the devices are pretty well gone, then that explains the weight loss.
