Grabbed this example from a seemingly reputable dealer on ebay. Got it for $103.67( with shipping) THE PHOTOS WERE BLURY. Had better scans and noticed some anomalies in the symbols, and then I ask for the dimensions and weight. Coin is 24.2 grams which is way too light. However, the seller claims he rang it and it sounds like silver, he also claims that it came with several other authentic Chinese coins. And help is greatly appreciated, thanks Seller is offering a full refund, but if the coin is real I definitely want it. Let me know, por favor!!! Thanks in advance.

I am hoping their scale is jacked up... they are not primarily a coin dealer, as most of the stuff on the sellers listings are antiques.
But the guy swears it is real. Even went as far as guaranteeing it. Said I could return it if I determined it wasn't. He isn't shipping it til I ok it. Would love to save him the postage if I can.

Nothing about this is saying real to me. The weight and price are already very suspect... if the seller believes it to be real they would be selling it for much more
The characters look extremely poorly rendered compared to genuine examples, they look mushy, stubby, the denticles are a very odd shape.
Lastly, I can't read Chinese, however, the characters don't match examples for Kiang Nan province which makes me think this may be a classic says one thing in English on one side, another in Chinese on the other counterfeit.
Im not an expert in this category by any means, but this is an example I personally would steer well away from

completely. Poorly rendered, looks fake. And the Chinese text says Heilungkiang province. Stay away from this one.

Amazing. More the reasons counterfeiters are having the best time in their lives.

Obvious fake at instant glance. Apart from major obvious telltale faults, Heilungkiang never had a coin like this at all.

Full refund received. Intial listing had blurry photos. I took a chance. Cost me nothing.
Once the seller sent me a better photo after I asked the weight, that's when it became obvious.
