Found this 1998 Lincoln D with space missing between the neckline and collar and the hair isn't right could it be a Greaser?

@ Coinfrog Thanks! That's what I figured. A few years ago I found a 1997 partially greased on the numbers 1997. It was a really nice one but I think this one is a whole lot cooler!

That is what I was thinking @dear. Either side of Abe's neck seems to be where die polishing is most pronounced.

Die polishing that reached 'into' the die's neck area--so it seems.

That was my other thought also like with the whole floating roof thing. Because I saw something in that neck area that looked like it had been polished over but I just went with the Greaser because it looked very similar to my 1997 penny which was agreed to be a Greaser.

Could be a Greaser, or over abraded dies or a lower pressure strike?

If it is over polishing the 'Y' will be smaller as well.

If it were a Grease Fill, the 'Y' could be flat looking and wider looking.
