Virtually every New Orleans issue of this date that I've seen is sub-par. I imagine a bunch of listless, absinthe-addicted workers, many of whom don't bother to show up for work at all (as long as they pay 20% of their wages to the Bourbon political machine that landed them the job). An environment of corruption and mediocrity resulting in inferior coinage. All that said, what do you think of this one?: Edited by pristine2 03/12/2022 3:35 pm

you are correct about the strike for this year. if you can find one with a better strike than this good luck. you have to take this into consideration when grading these. based on the photos it looks like she has about 50% of her original luster. other than luster the surface preservation is not bad with just minor ticks across the cheek/neck area, although there is quite a bit of them. I have her at AU55 as eye appeal is pretty good.

Decent surfaces, slightly impaired luster tops it out at 53 for me, PCGS probably said 55.

Most of you guys got it pretty much perfect, except: Quote: Been to the blue pool a few times too many. AU details cleaned. There's zero evidence of any chemical cleaning, and what luster remains is genuine. No haloing, directional cloth abrasions or other signs of surface tampering. The hint of green you see is a reflection off a nearby item.
