I am brand new to coin collecting. I bought a microscope and started going through my change jug to see if I could strike it rich $5 at a time. I quickly noticed looking at a coin in very good condition was more enjoyable than beat up coins, so I ordered the 2022 proofs to see what brand new looks like. I put them under the microscope, still in the plastic case, and noticed a few things. I cant tell if I am seeing something used to clean these or potentially errors on 2 of them. There are marks in the plastic, and if you adjust the light, you see an offset shadow. This tells me those marks are not on the coins. These marks do not change when the light does. 2 of them have blemishes on the front behind LIBERTY, and one has a crack on the reverse, or maybe a fiber from a cloth?

Rise the guide bar 4 to 5 inches and you will be able to take also full coin photos. The software it is not bad and fit with the most photos software.

I am guessing you used a memory card and did not just take a photo of the monitors screen?

I did use a memory card to move the pictures. When I watched reviews on scopes, I choose this one for price and quality for my needs. I am new to this and if I lose interest, I am not out hundreds of dollars. Moving the images on a memory card was in no way a deal breaker as you see I had no problem. Not being able to see the full coin was not a deal breaker either, as my goal was to get in close. If I need a full coin view, I can use another camera. The biggest negative in reviews was not being able to connect directly to the computer, but I am not livestreaming my coins, and in the case of this forum, I still would have had to resize the images anyway. One thing I did like is the battery, as I am able to take the scope with me and use it elsewhere easily.

As for picture quality, dont use the telescoping lights. Point those away from your coins. They are very helpful when looking at circulated coins however. If you are trying to see if something is raised or recessed into the coin, shine one horizontally across the face of the coin. You can watch the reflections and shadows to help you. It is helpful on some error shots as well to highlight the error itself, but not good in general otherwise.

This seemed to go off topic into a scope discussion, which was fun, but I still wouldn't mind some opinions on the quarters also.

Must be slight Machine Doubling issues on the corners of the devices. Why are these not a doubled die? Because of the single squeeze dies the DDR/DDR's are on the central area of the design. The devices are not enlarged, but normal in size, just those marks on the outside corners of the devices.

If those areas are showing just fields on those areas, they probably won't have doubled dies on that design. But look at the centers of the design, not on the outside edges of the outside devices.

Most of that looks like some liquid residue, perhaps from the washing and incomplete drying of the blank proof planchets at the mint?

I wasn't actually looking at the edges. In the flat area where LIBERTY is written, I was wondering about the hazy area. I cant tell if it is some residue from cleaning maybe, or something in the quarters. On the first 4 pictures, it looks like it runs underneath the word for lack of a better description. The 5th picture has the same thing just beside the T. The final picture, I cant tell if its a crack, or if a fiber made it inside the case. I assumed viewing through plastic is why the corners looked a little off.

Possible thread like pieces of cello/thread/fiber. Leave it there. Keep the coins safe in the holder.

At the base of the 'Y' looks like a hair on top of the coin surface, or maybe on the case - you can see a reflection of it on the coin. What is the composition of the coin? Clad or Silver?

Nice pictures though. What did you use to get the images? ok just kidding there

I am not seeing where the OP asked about a doubled die in this inquiry. Only for opinions on what they "were" seeing. I believe if him/her thought that is was a doubled die they might have suggested that observation.
Doubled dies is not the only thing that is asked about. Often it refers to unexplained anomalies. The obvious answer is not a doubled die. Anyone can answer the obvious. What about the not so obvious. Many can say with confidence what it is not. But the question asked is the key to the response. Conclusively stating that is not a doubled die without suggesting what it "could" be does not help those wanting to learn what is going on.
I have seen many occasions when knowledable members have to soon, dismissed finds as being nothing only to find out it is something by someone taking more time to examine the presented specimen.
Without further diligence of more observation by other participants, the OP might have tossed a good find.
I have learned a good deal here. That is why I only post an inquiry pertaining to something I do not have an answer to after looking for all information available to me. Mostly from this forum.
I could easily have 5000 posts and obtain an exalted title if I only replied to what you don't have and why it is not.
Sometimes I wonder how many posts are actually read before
posting a reply based only on the images. I have observed this on numerous occasions.
For example, after 10 replies, someone figures out it is LMC being looked at and not a LWC. You read the title, look at images, then give opinions on what it is or is not. Perhaps you missed something in the text of the post.
Please do not take this wrong. I realize that there are
"many" learned and experienced members here. And so much of your advice and research has helped me eminsly.
I have come to know through responses to questions of my own , and others, those truly interested in what you have to offer for advice and opinions, opposed to, those whom endeavor to add to their post list and title, thus making you appear as an expert in your field..
I have nearly 50 years in my trade, still going to work every day at 66 and I have never, ever referred to myself as and expert. And I never will. Not one day goes by that I do not learn something.
I have learned throughout my life, and lived by it, that opinions are like A*******. And I have also learned that if your opion does not address the question, just don't give it.
The majority of responses here belong in another forum. The pertinent ones are confusing at times.
Ask for more clarifications and take it from there.
I doubt that this reply will even be posted. And I am sure that it will not be added to my number of posts because it has nothing to do with the OP's question. As it should be.

Dearborn. yes the fiber on the bottom of the Y is inside the case but I knew it was not on the coin by the shadow cast. The first 4 pictures show the blemish behind the ERTY in LIBERTY that I was asking if this was residue from cleaning, or something in the coin. Picture 5 shows the same residue next to the T on another coin in the case. Picture 6 I wasn't sure if it was a crack or a fiber. I can not get that one to throw a shadow.

Dowhat, I see your points here, and although the questions I had were skipped past on a post, I am also new to this, so anything an experienced person sees that I didn't would be welcome information as well. My follow up questions were answered after that as well.
