I am not seeing where the OP asked about a doubled die in this inquiry. Only for opinions on what they "were" seeing. I believe if him/her thought that is was a doubled die they might have suggested that observation.
Doubled dies is not the only thing that is asked about. Often it refers to unexplained anomalies. The obvious answer is not a doubled die. Anyone can answer the obvious. What about the not so obvious. Many can say with confidence what it is not. But the question asked is the key to the response. Conclusively stating that is not a doubled die without suggesting what it "could" be does not help those wanting to learn what is going on.
I have seen many occasions when knowledable members have to soon, dismissed finds as being nothing only to find out it is something by someone taking more time to examine the presented specimen.
Without further diligence of more observation by other participants, the OP might have tossed a good find.
I have learned a good deal here. That is why I only post an inquiry pertaining to something I do not have an answer to after looking for all information available to me. Mostly from this forum.
I could easily have 5000 posts and obtain an exalted title if I only replied to what you don't have and why it is not.
Sometimes I wonder how many posts are actually read before
posting a reply based only on the images. I have observed this on numerous occasions.
For example, after 10 replies, someone figures out it is
LMC being looked at and not a
LWC. You read the title, look at images, then give opinions on what it is or is not. Perhaps you missed something in the text of the post.
Please do not take this wrong. I realize that there are
"many" learned and experienced members here. And so much of your advice and research has helped me eminsly.
I have come to know through responses to questions of my own , and others, those truly interested in what you have to offer for advice and opinions, opposed to, those whom endeavor to add to their post list and title, thus making you appear as an expert in your field..
I have nearly 50 years in my trade, still going to work every day at 66 and I have never, ever referred to myself as and expert. And I never will. Not one day goes by that I do not learn something.
I have learned throughout my life, and lived by it, that opinions are like A*******. And I have also learned that if your opion does not address the question, just don't give it.
The majority of responses here belong in another forum. The pertinent ones are confusing at times.
Ask for more clarifications and take it from there.
I doubt that this reply will even be posted. And I am sure that it will not be added to my number of posts because it has nothing to do with the OP's question. As it should be.
