Just sent these images off to JC for his consideration. If accepted it'll be a new listing. Interestingly, there are already a couple known from this year, so something was amiss with things out in San Fran that year.

The obverse is also a very minor unlisted DDO with doubling toward the rim on IGWT, LIBERTY and the star. This makes it remarkably similar to WDDO-001, which has a similar minor DDO and a nearly bisecting die crack.

The coin was spotted on ebay by a keen-eyed friend of mine and he let me pick it up so I could see about getting it listed.

Nice RRDC pick up, what is up with the area west reverse between monument and rim?

Agreed.
Notice that the "feature" doesn't affect the letters that it goes through.
A die crack would.

Thanks! Kanga, the scratch doesn't really touch much in the way of letters, maybe the very bottom of the UN of UNITED, but it is certainly enough to "details" an otherwise quite nice error coin.

Nice one batts. These are very common for the year. I've been trying to get one with bisecting cracks on both sides. I saw one come up for auction but it was a high grade and was going for a lot just because of the slab.
