All I ever see are junk Australian 1 or 2 cent coins, Malaysian 1 or 5 cent coins and similar rubbish not worth 5 cents never mind $1.

Come to think of it I am struggling to remember any Buy It Now coin listing being worth the value it was listed at.

Would love to here of anything you've bought recently on ebay that was actually worth the BIN asking price. It might help me muster some enthusiasm to scroll through all the overpriced stuff on there if I thought there was a possibility of finding some coins that were actually value for money. I can't even win an auction on ebay these days.

Don't know about ebay, but on our trade me $1 is recommended minimum as they charge a minimum 55 cent success fee and the coins at that level are mainly pennies, halfpennies, farthings and worn junk of all descriptions.

Selling 1 and 2 cent coins for a buck seems a rip off, but considering postage is at least $1.10 in Aussie and $1.50 here, its pretty stupid to post something that cost just $1 and then most dealers sting the buyer with at $2 or $3 postage. To me $5 should be a minimum purchase, or 1 and 2c junk should be sold in bulk, such as 10 different old 2 cent coins for $1 (We choose the dates and there may be duplication) etc.

I think anyone daft enough to pay $1 for a 1 cent coin and pay like $1.20 or more to receive has proven they have money to burn or they are braindead anyway.

I usually select the auction tab and exclude BIN from the search results.

I once bought a 2015 red lest we forget $2 for $2 BIN (including postage).

I was surprised when it actually showed up in my letterbox. I think the seller must have been desperate for positive feedback.

To this day I have never found one of these coins in circulation, so if I hadn't come across this bargain I'd still be looking for an example of this coin. (I refuse to pay more than face value for a circulation coin)

I haven't found one in circulation either and there's still an empty slot in my collection.

Probably not - at that end of the spectrum I'm looking in a junk box anyway.
