2rtgah678 Valued Member Canada 291 Posts	Posted 03/26/2022 02:49 am looking at this 1970 penny and saw it seemed to have some Machine Doubling on the date so I looked at CANADA and it looks like it might be doubled. still pretty new to this so who knows it might be nothing but wanted to see your opinions. thank you.looking at it again might be doubling on the 7 and right of the leaf. top of the C and bottom of left of A bottom left of N and A bottom left of A and a bit around D on the upper side of the stem close up of top of C bottom left of A bottom left of N bottom left of second A bottom left of last A right side of leaf thank you for looking at my overly long list of photos Edited by 2rtgah678 03/26/2022 02:53 am Report this Post to the Staff

Originally thought to be a doubled die reverse until further research suggests that the master die was subject to a misaligned second hubbing impression from the master hub during the hubbing process, in return, this created working hubs and working dies that featured doubled design elements, letters, and the numbers in the date.
